The ticket is only one part of a festival trip. You still need to reach the venue, get through the gate, and find your way back when thousands of people leave at once.
Begin with the moment that cannot move: the set, ceremony, screening, or final performance you came to see. Put its date, venue, entry rules, and the people joining you in one place.
Give arrival its own plan
Check how long the trip takes from your station or airport to the place you are staying, then from there to the venue. Include time for luggage, check-in, and entry. If your arrival has little room for delay, consider an earlier option before you commit to a fare.
Keep your ticket and the event's official updates easy to reach. An itinerary note with the venue address, doors time, and admission details can spare you a search in a crowded queue.
Work backward from the way home
Look at your return ride before the event starts. Decide where your group will meet afterward, how you will leave the venue, and whether your transport still runs at that hour. Save a second option if your first ride falls through.
If you are staying overnight, check the route back to your lodging. A room close to the venue can still be inconvenient if the route is difficult at the end of the night.
Keep the weekend together
Put travel, lodging, tickets, and fixed-time plans in one itinerary. When a flight or weather alert changes the picture, you can see whether the event is still within reach before you decide what to move.
Use Irie Travel to draft the weekend around the event and the people coming with you. The current product helps organize the plan; ticketing and supplier booking are still being built.
